In recent years, tablet products like Apple iPad 2, Barnes & Nook Nook Tablet, are shiny touchy gadgets that you might want to have, while the competition continues, Amazon brought us another surprise, Kindle Fire.
Specification
Inherited almost nothing from the Kindle E-Reader Series, Kindle Fire stand out as the first Full Colored E-reader. With 7" Multi-Touch Display Screen, 8 GB of Internal Storage Space and impressively, equipped with Dual-Core Processor, Costed only $199 US D (Wi-Fi connection only)
Functionality
From the simplest function - reading E-books on the first version of Kindle, to having different kind of Apps, Songs, Movies and TV shows to mess with, Kindle Fire is a milestone for the Kindle Series.
It probably cannot and should not be used to compare with iPad 2 since they meant to bring absolutely different kind of using experience to the users after all.
Kindle Fire pre-installed the Amazon Silk, which is another piece of amazing technology. It loads a webpage simultaneously both on the device and on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud - Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), in order to get shorter transit times, faster browsing speed.
Cloud Services
Getting Everything Amazon offers with an Amazon Prime membership.
Unlike iPad 2 or other tablet that focus on the hardware, Kindle Fire is designed to be used as a medium, to transmit Movies, TV shows, E-books, Magazines and Comic books, all from Amazon, either by streaming or store on the cloud. It is simply a new way to get services from, the cloud.
User's Review
Kindle Fire has been given excellent and positive comments from users, either the durability of the screen (IPS) or the price!
It has some cons, too. such as the improperly word display and brightness of the device.
Overview of the Future Development
Kindle Fire has brought in some new concepts and ideas to the tablet about the cloud. When manufacturers has been focusing on the hardware side, Amazon tries to maximize the cloud's application instead. Just think about it, Amazon use Kindle Fire as a medium of multi-media delivery, in exchange, people pay for it annually by subscribing to the Amazon Prime membership. It is a long time business.
Others might think that Kindle Fire is still weak and slow, but consider the idea of using the benefit of the cloud everywhere.
- Files and Songs are centralized, no extra storage space needed.
- Books are synchronized, no extra bookmarking needed.
Of course, someday in the future, we looked back, Kindle Fire might be just as bold as the first version of Kindle Reader was.
